For your entertainment between Christmas and New Year Vlatos is proud to present the Jazz Organ Trio this year
In 2017, three friends founded Jazz Elements in Crete. Named after their initial venue, the trio comprises Matthieu Durmarque on saxophone, Lefteris Papadakis on bass, and Stefan Olofsson on piano. They play a mix of traditional and modern jazz.
Since 1975 Ross Daly has been based on the island of Crete where he is universally recognized as one of the foremost experts on the island’s rich musical tradition.
A trio piano shaped by jazz musicians associated with their love for traditional and modern jazz. Together they will try to improvise to combine traditional jazz compositions with the sound of modern jazz.
Limakis and Papadakis appear on stage for a musical dialogue through some well known and personal compositions. Having chosen pieces by well-known composers such as Enio Morricone, Antonio-Carlos Jobim, Michel Legrand among others and having improvisation as a primal musical element, they will perform in their own personal style through a wide range of musical timbres.
